J.K. Rowling's New Novel

I was on the Chapters Indigo site today, looking for how-to books. On the front page is an advertisement for J.K. Rowling's upcoming book "The Casual Vacancy".

(I can't help it, but I pronounce her name incorrectly; like growling, instead of the proper way like bowling.)

I've always wondered what her next book would be about after Harry Potter ended and whether it would do well.

Here's an excerpt from the Chapter's site:

When Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the town of Pagford is left in shock.

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty fa├žade is a town at war.

Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils...Pagford is not what it first seems.

And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity, and unexpected revelations?

At first I wasn't too interested, but after I went back and read it again, and remembered how much I loved her previous series simply because she is a fantastic writer.  I'm getting excited!

It comes out September 27th, I can't wait to read it!
